Great caribbean Island for kiteboarding! It is located on the Yucatan Peninsula. Cozumel has incredible beaches, nice people, chill out streets, safety and good prices.

The island has an airport which receives direct flights from Atlanta,Houston, Charlotte, Chicago,Denver, Dallas, Halifax, Miami, Minneapolis, and Canada (Toronto) and national flights from Mexico City. The best way to arrive, is if you fly to Cancun, it has more flights, then take a shuttle bus, taxi or van to Playa del Carmen (1 hour) and cross to Cozumel by ferry. The island is about 48 kilometers long and 16 km wide, the largest island in México. Cozumel is covered with jungle which has many wild life.

In Cozumel, Diving and fishing comprise nearly all sources of income. There are around 320 restaurants, some of them are run bye dive operators, with swimming pools, private docks, and many amenities. Other water activities include para-sailing, kitesurfing, and a tourist submarine.

The Maya Civilization is believed to have first settled Cozumel by the early part of the 1st millennium AD, and older PreclassicOlmec artifacts have been found on Cozumel.

Usually the wind comes from the from East, not always strong but good, and when we get a cold front ‘Norte’ or hurricane close by you will have great winds so check out the weather forecast a few days ahead. Good sideshore winds for the waves.East winds (onshore) are the best for this place, but the waves are worth it. East is the dominant wind direction and the preferable time is between February (carnival) to May. Our favorite spots in Cozumel are Passion Island (Isla de la Pasion) and Playa Norte.
