Bucerias means (place of divers), it is a mexican small fishing town that attracts those tourist who don’t want the big resorts of Nuevo Vallarta or Puerto Vallarta. Bucerias is only 25 minutes from Puerto Vallarta. Bucerias is located between Nuevo Vallarta and Punta Mita. The town is coming into its own as a favored destination for visitors. There is 5 miles of sandy beaches, the longest in all Bahia de Banderas. The strong winds are great for kitesurfing and windsurfing, and the beach makes for great walks and jogging. The village, which is part of Riviera Nayarit is surrounded by amazing mountains and jungle which gives all year of sunshine. There are variety of restaurants, boutique shops, stores and art galleries.
Bucerias it’s known for it’s slower pace yet, it has all the services that one needs. A 5-mile stretch of soft sandy white beaches, cobblestone streets and heartwarming charm give you the feel of simpler times. The ice cream stand is very popular every time, as the restaurants and bars along the beachfront.The town has very good tacos on downtown. If there is no wind, you can de open-water fishing for species such as sailfish and marlindorado.
The climate in Bucerias is warmer than in Puerto Vallarta city. The annual average temperature is 25°C and in the summer months the high temperatures can reach 32°C.

Blowing at afternoon Best season: March, April, May, June.The wind season is from January to June, after that the sea is so warm there is no sea breeze. It is usually onshore but sometimes swings to the west a little. The wind is always from sea breezes and is from 5-20mph. Usually starts around 12-1pm and on a good day continues until sunset 7-8pm. You can get out 4-5 days a week easily in the wind season.
